Our origin
Born from a version spreadsheet nobody trusted.
In 2018, database operations lead Elena Park and platform engineer Marcus Reed were asked a simple question: which client version did their analysts use? The answer took three teams, two days, and several incompatible session exports.
They created a compact review model that connected package source, driver prerequisites, access roles, and operator workflows. Northstar grew from that model and now helps US teams apply it to HeidiSQL and adjacent database tooling.
